Street culture e hip hop, bassi a palla, frequenze ultrasoniche, nuove maniere, trasalimenti sghimbesci e beat che collidono: una scena acquista velocemente visibilitá, é il ‘Baltimore Style’ che attira adesso l’attenzione di molti, pronti immediatamente nel darne la propria versione (e complicarne in maniera ulteriore la mescola). Baltimora è il nuovo South Bronx, la nuova Mecca, la vibrazione originaria dalla quale Rihanna, Kanye West ed i video-maker dei nostri stilisti ‘succhiette’ estrapolano la sintesi. Fra trend, mainstream e pulsioni originarie, al solito la realtà si fa più sfumata, e non sorprende poi che LaCrate & Samir, a tutti gli effetti seminali creatori, veterani del djing, sfornino tali produzioni, remixando per la Delicious Vinyl ‘Know How’ di Young MC e ‘Jeep Ass Nigguh’ di Masta Ace. ‘Gutter Music’ dicono, e pensiamo che cio’ significhi in senso figurale ‘musica dei bassifondi’, roba tammarra insomma ma con una grande energia, che spacca semplicemente all’impatto (come è giusto che sia in questi casi). Godetevi allora il ‘Jeep Ass Gutter’ versione strumentale e vocal, l’assai colorato ‘Know How Theme’ e l’immaginifico ‘Know How Gutter’. Null’altro da dire: sound nudo e crudo ‘in da wicka style’.
