Sotto il moniker Dubshape, Ale Reis e Joao Lee tengono alta la scuola carioca, senza particolarmente calcare – tuttavia – le loro ‘localistiche’ origini (cosa che anche ad altri producer – in ogni dove – non farebbe male). Fra le ultime uscite house infatti, ‘Different Elevation’ spicca per qualitáe mescola, non priva d’influssi esotici, tuttavia rarefatta negli intrecci, vividi delle molte esperienze internazionali al loro attivo. Calibratissima l’original version a 125 bpm, allo stesso modo il remix di Glimpse, più secco e minimale rispetto alle sonoritá precedenti, ben tagliate e non ridondanti ma comunque piene, rollanti. Si passa poi ad un intro assai rarefatta ed obliqua, dalle evoluzioni profonde e scandite, nell’incedere avvolgente del Marc Peakay Remix, fluente ed alquanto ‘neutro’ stilisticamente nelle evoluzioni, comunque ritmate ed efficaci. Ancora su scansioni contenute attorno ai 124 bpm, elegante, minimale ma non punitiva, fluida nelle cesure e stilisticamente ben tenuta a freno l’original di ‘Pieces’ mentre il remix di Sebastian Roche ben piú energetico, non dispiace infine negli iterati inviluppi, tecnoidi ed ipnotici. Si chiude infine con ‘Trick Sunshine’ e le atmosfere non differiscono poi di molto, oscure, profonde e insinuanti, druggy e ingommate.
