Uscita funky dal sapore un po’ vintage ed assai tradizionalmente groovy questa dei Funkanomics (Proof, FxFarmer e Bobby Kudlicz), ospitata dalla label di Cut La Roc, esibisce in ‘Circle Kid’, già nell’original version, quelle influenze breakbeat-hiphop, farcite da un andamento dopato, con rime efficaci e classici bongolamenti percusssivi. Sequenze che nel remix da loro stessi realizzato, trovano maggiore occasione d’essere agite in qualche dj-set, alzando la percentuale di sonorità atte ad un utilizzo dancefloor. Lunga la sequela dei vari rifacimenti: si passa dal remix di Badboe, egualmente infuso da rotte battute e attitudine sguaiata, a quello di Umbo, Balatz e Pips, ancora più live e rockettaro, per poi passare a Cmc e Silenta, e poco cambia, se non nell’Impulsonic Remix, dove le scansioni diventano diritte e urticanti. Si chiude con Just Banks e poi con Parker, il primo ancora assestato su sonorità da jam-session, l’altro più cinematico, a 125 bpm, carinamente eclettico e swingante.
