Su We Are Live è la volta di Run Riot, moniker di Tom Young, giovane produttore e live performer elettronico d’origine anglosassone, nativo di Braintree, nell’Essex (la stessa cittadina dalla quale sono partiti i Prodigy). Artista focalizzato proprio sull’utilizzo dal vivo di nuove strumentazioni digitali, qui a suo agio nella title track, imbastendo trame fortemente ritmiche e dinamiche, a 127 bpm, seguendo atmosfere ben dense e filmicamente descrittive. Si passa a 130 bpm in ‘Fight For Your Freedom’ e le note risentono d’arie dubbate, subito montanti in sequenze rock-indotte non esenti da calcate melodie esotiche e vocalità tradizionalissime. Maggiormente interessante – a mio avviso – ‘Vengeance’, con un intro delicata e subito scansioni reattive, modulate su influenze breaks, montanti e stradaiole. É in ultimo ‘If You Seek Peace Plan For War’ che agita ancora sonorità dirette e ficcanti, a conferma di certe derive nu skool alla concquista d’inedite dimensioni performative, prima poco prevedibili.
