12″ – Powder & Louder
Con una vena fortemente pop e digitale, Stanley Beamish e R. Attenkopf, in arte The Chosen Two, da Berlino, arrivano alla Powder & Louder e sfornano questo ‘Two Much Ep’, frutto anche d’influenze vintage e recuperi da prima eletttronica. ‘Il passato è un posto grazioso da visitare, non da vivere’ c’avvertono, e li prendiamo davvero sul serio, salutando tuttavia con piacere queste tre loro simpatiche tracce. La prima ‘Jaegermeister’, agevole e graziosa nelle sintetiche mescole a 124 bpm, con un buon riff ossessivo e un aria complessivamente scanzonata, la seconda ‘Wer Beist Wolf’ è invece appena più ritmica e scandita, con efficaci vocal inneggianti e uno spirito assai svarionato. Si chiude con la title track, a calcar la mano su accordi cinematici, ad arte enfatici e avvolgenti. Peccato che in Italia, soprattutto in provincia, i tanti esegeti d’un suono anni ottanta, in stile robot-bambolina, nemmanco arrivino a tali raffinatezze, continuando a proporre i soliti trenta – straconosciutissimi – pezzi.
