12″ – Sokolov Sounds
Dalla label di Vlad Sokolov c’arriva un’uscita assai interessante, da ascrivere al moniker di Joe Europe, giovane produttore del nord west londinese, abilissimo – in prima battuta – nell’original version di ‘Bash Head’, nel collimare pulsioni tecnoidi, a 127 bpm, intrecciandole in un andamento progressivo e techy, avvolgente nelle suggestioni ambientali che si tingono di coloriture anche space. Esultiamo di piacere quando appuriamo che come remixer è stato scelto Mr Elastik, aka The Bulgarian, pur se la prima è la sua identità maggiormente minimale, concetto poi confermato nell’ascolto, alquanto rarefatto e stringato nel ‘Mr Elastik Remix’, più effettato, sperimentale e mutant-fidget nello ‘Happy Slappy Remix’ (che evidentemente ben conformato, meglio s’addice – anche – ai nostri gusti). Si chiude con ‘Sulo’, battute a 124, andamento ipnoide ma tanta energia: questo ragazzo – in questa stagione – è uno di quelli da tenere d’occhio.
