Nuova sfornata d’energetiche produzioni che arriva dalla chicagoana Junky Trunk, etichetta guidata da Jon De Fiore, aka Sexual Chocolate, artista direttamente coinvolto nel mettersi in gioco con l’efficace ‘Back 2 House’, incisione modulata sui 126 bpm, battente, fuzzy e ondivaga, alquanto ipnoide e densa d’atmosfere, ben farcita da suoni efficaci ed effettati. Buona anche ‘The Bass Drum’ di Kraymer, traccia seghettata e zompante, pregna di synth e dinamiche sequenze geometriche, seguita da ‘Come With Me’ – sempre dello stesso autore – forte di sample vocali e intrecci synth-core adeguatamente organizzati. Della partita è anche Royal K, che in ‘Stretcher’ procede filante, agitando bassi fondi e frequenze inquiete, intrecci tecnoidi, ruvidi e saettanti. DJ Martini anche – con l’apporto dei vocal di Dean – a fondo imprime sulla pista un andamento jackin pulsante, in ‘Minimal Mosquito’, incisione infine fortemente iterata e suggestiva nei trattamenti, ad arte scanditi e glitchy. Ultimo ma non meno importante, pure Kitch’N’Sync è attrezzato alla bisogna, in ‘Rock Out’, pezzo davvero più enfatico e vocoderizzato, dal cipiglio electro, veeemente ed obliquo.
