La Champion Beats non fallisce un colpo, avendo acquisito oramai – in ambito jackin-fidget – quella padronanza e continuità che la pone ai vertici del genere stilistico. Ogni nuova uscita, dipanata in più e più versioni, oramai da tempo, non fa che confermare questo assunto. Anche stavolta, con Royal K, il risultato è il medesimo, e “Floor Burner”, a 129 bpm nell’original version, s’insinua battente, sguiscia, laida e stradaiola, infarcita da vocal tagliatissimi ed effettati. Nel remix di Mini K si scende a 126 bpm, lasciando l’andamento comunque acidico, funambolico e traballante. Perfetto è il remix di Matt Cox, che pure sfrutta l’intrigante riff melodico di base, modulando scansioni zompettanti ed oblique, fra sirene e assai efficaci intrecci sonici. Tiene forte il passo anche Jason Score, il mio preferito – a questo giro – tra i remixer, grazie a trattamenti ondivaghi, rutilanti e wicked, articolati con maestria in sequenze insistenti e oltraggiose. Si chiude con The Incredible Melting Man, pontefice di ritmiche impestate, agitando vocal glicciati, sciabolate energiche e mirabolanti risciacqui ad effetto lavatrice-impazzita.
