Ragazzaccio indisponente ma simpatico, Tim Healey è un genietto dai connubi underground-pop-stradaioli che davvero merita tutto il successo e la stima che gli viene normalmente dispensata. Il suo recente album solista, “Rest In Beats”, accompagnato da una pletora di singoli, video e materiale promozionale vario, mostra al pubblico – di qualsiasi provenienza esso sia – la varietà d’una ispirazione elettronica freschissima, tinta di trame hip hop, spoken word, urban e house. E poi quei classici rivisitati, “Dear Prudence” dei Beatles, le collaborazioni con Calvertron, Tomcraft, Atomic Drop, Freqhouse, Pete Martin, tutto l’arsenale di vocalists del quale s’avvale, da SirReal (Freestylers/Pendulum) al toaster leggendario Top Cat, passando poi ai Manners, a Loc-E e all’onnipresente Pippa Trix, altro non fanno che convincerci di quanta sostanza sia messa in campo. Certo il crinale è periglioso, se non si è più che attenti e misurati tanta “pop culture” potrebbe far danni condensata tutta assieme: Tim tuttavia è proprio speciale e sa dare alla cosa le giuste proporzioni.
