Between Leeds and London, George Miller and Nat Slater, already as 601, have been lately spreading around their sounds, formerly through the remix of ‘Ghetto Soul’ for Rico Tubbs, and, in the last months of 2006, through their brilliant track ‘Five O’, published by Epidemic. This last ‘Grymee’ gets into a bassy evolution of some nice digital funky, provided by quite complex and very well organized rhythmics which leads to hypnotic, powerful and acid scansions. A rocking orginal version! The b-side hosts the remix by Ben & Lex. Things here get hotter, thanks to quirky and emphasized vocal samples, fat beats, robust synths and pervasive bass frequencies. A total blast.
