Anche quest’anno si é svolto al Fabric l’annuale Breakspoll, appuntamento clou della stagione per quanto riguarda tutta la comunitá nu skool. Molti i premiati, pochi purtroppo i nomi provenienti da scene non anglosassoni, giudizi non sempre facilmente condivisibili ma è questo anche il bello d’una manifestazione del genere. Complimenti a Krafty Kuts ‘Best DJ’, ‘Best Album’ e ‘Outstanding Contribution to Breaks’, ai Groove Diggerz ‘Breakthru Producer’ e nomination come ‘Breakthrough DJ’, a Rogue Element e Tom Real, premiati per il miglior remix, ai Far Too Loud ‘Best Single’. Complimenti alla Mantra, naturalmente, per il titolo di ‘Best Label’ ed al nostro Madox, che conquista nomination come remixer e come dj. Raccoglie certamente meno di quello che avrebbe meritato quest’anno la pattuglia Hardcore Beats, mentre da segnalare ancora è la fervida attività di Jimmy Mofo, a cui va il merito della vittoria per l’omonimo magazine ed anche una nomination ‘Breakthru Label’. Auguri anche agli altri amici a vario titolo premiati, che con i loro contributi hanno supportato attivamente il nostro blog, permettendoci aggiornamenti quotidiani, in particolare un grazie a Jay Stewart, Dopamine, alla Fat Records, a CTRL Z & Screwface, ai Def Inc, Groove Diggerz, Kid Blue, Breakin Even Records, a Diverted Traffic, Trans:verse, Bijou Breaks, Ibreaks, Botchit and Scarper, Broke Records, Hardcore Beats, Far Too Loud, SOTO ed Atomic Hooligan. Speriamo, almeno noi, di non aver dimenticato nessuno.
