12″ – Botchit & Scarper
Second review from the new double release of Eddy Temple Morris, nu skool professional producer with indie-rock flavour. He is a real specialist in making adacious remixes, and at the same time shaking a very broad spectrum of audience. We have ‘Thief’, by Atomic Hooligans, shy intro but sudden hard beats, supported by excellent vocals. Good stuff, but difficult to merge if not in specialized and dedicated dj-sets. Then we have Kasabian, remixed by Eddy: nice and enjoyable…perfect for a radio show. Last but not least Backdraft with ‘Don’t Stop’, here finally we are closer to what we usually prefer, fluid rhytmics, rough and appropriate vocals with some furious Roxikiller style guitar strums. Cross-over breaks, like it or hate it.
