12″ – Used and Abused
Seminal name Elite Force (a.k.a. sHack), who, together with Simon Lewin in 1996 at ‘Fused and Bruised’, started to create the first ecletic electronic danceable digital excesses. It was the time of ‘This Is Latinamyl’ and the breakbeat oftenclashed with acid and big beat productions. The new label is branded with the old name of ‘Used And Abused’, already the title for well-known compilations. After the first album, ‘Modern Primitive’, we get some remixes, in particular the version of Hybrid (Mike Truman & Chris Healings), with a very fine vocal intepretation. Very good also the remix by sHack, more dynamic and ragged in its tech-funk beats, quite catchy on the dancefloor. The funs of techno style treatments, with flat beat and haunted atmospheres, get their part with the ‘Perc’s dub remix’.
