CD – Fat
After quite a number of 12′ vinyls, here goes ‘Beserka’, the first album of the young Mark Ford a.k.a. Merka, new entry of Fat. Our previous impression of jazzy sound and neo soul influences is confirmed. Groovy and easy beats whose structure is an unsual interpretation of some music styles that have heavily influenced the last 20 years scenes. Funky and cool melodies, sci-fi atmospheres and some trendy modern-antique stuff. His breaks are quite stylish and very well balanced, but the future of breakbeat is heading towards different technologies and imageries.
