It’s almost 20 years that the first white label productions of ‘The Theme’, by Unique 3, have been published. That sound is still around, thanks to the quality of the tune, that already at the time was learning a lot from the old skool electro. Very interesting material for the young funky-groove explorer Merka, a real specialist in re-adaptations of old tunes in breaks abstract-jazzy style. The real deal in this production is actually the remix, by The Rogue Element, a very focused mixture of techno influences and b-boys attitudes, a pure juice of the new trends that are lately influencing the breaks and other sounds.
